What is a counseling intern?
A counseling intern is a counseling, social work, marriage family therapy, or psychology student who has advanced in their educational program to a point that they are ready to start working with clients. They have excelled in courses regarding diagnosis, helping skills, theories, and multiple other areas, to best prepare them for working with clients. Counseling interns are also under the supervision of at least 2 clinically licensed professionals, one being from the school, and one from Resolve.
Who is a good fit for working with a counseling intern?
Counseling interns are highly capable to work with clients experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression. They can work with couples and families who are experiencing conflict or just hoping to enrich their relationship. Additionally, interns can work with individuals looking to grow and enhance their lives.
